East London Mosque in Whitechapel has seven beehives on its roof. About 400,000 bees live there. One of the beekeepers says the pollen inside the honey they produce helps hayfever sufferers and the wider community.

At over 100 million years old, bees are one of the oldest living insects that can be found across the UK. With over 250 native species to be discovered, bees play a vital role in the pollination of the plants and flowers we love to grow.
The Association maintains an apiary at an organic farm in North Shropshire. We hold regular meetings at the apiary during the summer, where members old and new can gain experience in handling bees.
We encourage and develop
