Bee-killing Asian hornets set up home in the Island - Jersey Evening Post

"An invasive insect that could decimate the Islands honey production has become established in the Island less than a year after the first one was first spotted in St Helier. A colony of Asian hornets, which can contain up to 6,000 insects, was discovered last week in a shed in Fliquet, St Martin, and quickly exterminated by beekeepers. ....."
